Zapproved is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to join our forward-thinking engineering team in response to our continued rapid growth. In this new role, you’ll provide leadership to our Scrum teams by coaching them in Agile principles and offering practice guidance. You’ll also collaborate and communicate with a wide variety of stakeholders, including engineers, designers, QA, product, and engineering leaders. We are seeking someone who can quickly switch projects even when the end goal is still murky; our team moves (and succeeds or fails) fast!

    Who We Are:

At Zapproved, we have ambitious goals, but simple values:

    • Be Real
    • Be Our Best
    • Be Inclusive
    • Get It Done

We are a team that acts with honesty, integrity, and transparency. We take risks, stay humble, and are not afraid to fail.

    What You’ll Be Doing:

    In this role, you’ll...

    • Own Scrum Master responsibilities within agile teams, including coaching and mentorship on Agile principles and practices
    • Organize and facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including daily standups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives, release planning, and other agile activities
    • Drive continuous process improvement within your domain, and implement best practices in order to increase customer satisfaction, quality, and business value
    • Help the team assess schedule risk, surface it, and communicate accordingly
    • Track and communicate team metrics and sprint/release progress to teams and management
    • Achieve improved operational excellence in delivery and increased early warning of issues to allow enough time to resolve or mitigate

    What You’ll Need:

    •  3-5+ years experience as a Scrum Master, or similar role, with a demonstrated track record of guiding software engineers through many successful products using Agile methodology
    • Experience working with cross functional team members across multiple product teams
    • Excellent organizational, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to multi-task and follow through on projects to completion
    • Ability to build constructive relationships, present ideas and communicate change to all stakeholders
    • Practical understanding, experience and knowledge of DevOps capabilities such as Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD), Automated Testing, etc

    What Would Be Nice:

    • Experience working in a rapidly scaling company or start-up environment
    • Experience working in a SaaS company
    • Scrum Master Certification (CSM)

We are interested in every qualified candidate with authorization to work in the United States. However, this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

    How to Apply:

Feeling inspired? We want to meet you! Please provide your resume, cover letter, and (if applicable) a link to a portfolio of your work.
